Day 1: Dinner at a Yatai - Fukuoka, Japan


It was quite late by the time I reached Fukuoka.  Time for some late night dinner!  Near where I stayed, there is a yatai of about 10 stalls.  It was just a 3 to 5 min walk.  It's so lively in the middle of a quiet street at night.  People are drinking and getting drunk, talking to strangers across the stalls.  It was a fun experience.  As for the food, it's surprising good. It's in the middle of the street in a stall/cart like booth and yet, they were able to make all these yummy food.  There is no English on the menu, so we just pointed to what we wanted and communicating seem to be ok~  Love these bbq on a stick~    


The broth for the ramen was so rich and thick. Super delish!


As you can see, there are quite a few stalls.  We just went to the one with the most people.
