Day 4: 一蘭 本社総本店 - Fukuoka, Japan

When this ramen place opened up in Hong Kong, the line up to get a seat take hours.  I am not the type that likes lining up for food, so I never went.  When I went to Fukuoka, there is a 一蘭 ramen just a few train stations from where we were staying.  The best thing is that there was no line up.  Maybe it was too early?  Or maybe, people in Hong Kong are just overrating it and it's not really that much of a deal to the local people in Japan?

This outlet is just a few steps from the exit 2 of Nakasukawabata Station, where were shopped at Donkihote.  There are 2 floors. 

 The 1st floor was were we were sitting, also where this pic was taken.  The 2nd floor is for loners...where the seats are separated by dividers...the floor where you can have some quality alone time...

But then there is the noodle menu in English and Chinese~  Just what we needed!

So, that's the famous 一蘭 ramen~

Maybe my expectation was too high as everyone has been talking about it, so I was quite disappointed when the flavour didn't blow me away.  It's still good ramen.  Thick rich soup that hangs on the noodle.  But it really just taste like any other ramen you can find in Japan...maybe I just have a bad tongue.
