Day 4: Tongin Market - Seoul, South Korea

It's a Tuesday and we headed out to Gyeongbokgung Station where the Tongin Market is about a 5-10 minutes walk away.

Selfies time with the mirror wall in Gyeongbokgung Station.

Our feet were aching from all the walking on the previous day and it's still pretty early when we got out.  Needed some refreshment.  Cho is on her Atkins diet....no carb, making it very hard to get juice that she diet approves of.  At the end, we got tomato juice only.  No sugar added of course.  What a sad breakfast drink.  It was still good, but could be better if it's a real fruit juice.

More walking walking walking.  Get out of Exit 2 of Gyeongbokgung and walk walk walk straight nonstop until you see something that looks like a traditional market on your left.

Finally arrived.  It's a market where we get a tray/plate and some tokens/coins with 5000 won.  Then we can go to different shops and exchange food with the coins.  Since I can never finish food by myself and Cho just won't eat anything with carb, there really wasn't anything we could eat.  So, we didn't get the tray and coins.  The shops still accepts regular cash.  That way, I can just buy a small amount of food~

After entering the marketing, there is a place to buy the tray and tokens in the middle of the market.

It was pretty empty when we arrived, which I was so grateful about. We could looks through the different shops for things to eat.

Moments after we arrived, a bus load of Chinese tourist came and totally filled up the place~  So, it's better to go early.

Out of the many different shops, this was the only thing Cho could eat.  Cheese covered chicken skewer.  3000 won.

My face for the comparison of the size of the cheesy chicken.

More food pics.

Then I got some teobboki and blood sausage~  1000 won.  Blood sausage taste different each time I have it.  Still, not a big fan of the flavor.  It's interesting, but not something that I would crave.
