Day 4: Hanbok at Gyeongbokgung - Seoul, South Korea

Free activity.  Going inside Gyeongbokgung wearing a Hanbok grants you free entry.  Just put on your hanbok and walk straight in.  As for the hanbok...we got ours online.  Very cheap.  It's around 10-15USD.  Shipping included.  It's just for the fun of taking selfies in the palace.  So, we didn't care about the quality of the hanbok.  Renting one nearby would be around the same price anyways.  By getting our own hanbok, we don't need to worry about getting it dirty or ripped.

Right outside exit 5 of Gyeongbokgung station, there is a museum with lockers inside.  So, we changed and put our backpack along with our regular clothes there.  We are too embarrassed to walk around in hanbok outside of the palace.  So, we changed into it after we arrive at Gyeongbokgung.  The locker is free.  You do need to put in a deposit of 500 won I think. However, you get it back when you leave.

There are many others in their hanbok.  So, we didn't feel out of place.

Cho even made our own hair clip using junk at home.
